Quebec's provincial OACIQ, Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier, Real Estate Brokerage Self-Regulatory Organization, recognizes these 4 standards of practice as an inspection that protects you. Montreal Home Inspection Services meets and/or surpasses those 4 standards.
1: Have professional liability insurance against faults. Errors & Omissions and GL.
2: Perform the home inspection in accordance to Recognized Standard of Practice, SoP.
3: Uses a Recognized Property Inspection Agreement, PIA, service agreement that specifies the Nature, Scope and Limitations of their home inspection service.
4: Provide a written report or document afterwards. And is willing to discuss the reports findings afterwards to help the client understand what was written.
